Explore Magical Materials at next Kent and Discovery Planet workshop (21-23 April)

Following the success of the first free three-day event (Light Fantastic) in March, the University and Discovery Planet project brings ‘Magical Materials’ – an exciting hands on workshop exploring atoms and energy – to Ramsgate between April 21 and 23.

The workshops are part of an ongoing collaboration between the University and Discovery Planet, a Thanet-based, Community Interest Company (C.I.C), that brings exciting learning and creative experiences to the local community through a destination venue on Ramsgate High Street.

Members of the public are invited to attend drop-in sessions on Saturday 23 April, including a relaxed event at 10am for those who would like a quieter environment. There’s no need to book, just turn up and get involved.

As part of the on-going collaboration, local schools and members of the public will be able to attend more events over the summer:

• 19-21 May – observing space with telescopes
• 16-18 June – focusing on meteorites
• 7-9 July – examining how science can help us explore heritage
