Students with high marks (15 or more) in the Bachillerato, Bachillerato Tecnologico, Preparatoria Tecnica or Tecnico will be admitted to the foundation programme at the University of Kent. These decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.

We offer 1 year foundation programmes in Actuarial Science, Biosciences, Computer Systems Engineering, Electronic and Communications Engineering, Forensic Science, Mathematics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Physics. All of these courses are taught on the Canterbury campus.

We also have an International Foundation Programme which has been designed especially for international students. This programme includes additional English language support and provides entry into the wide range of subjects in our Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences for international students whose school leaving qualifications are insufficient for direct entry. It provides the applicant with a year’s preparation in academic subjects, English language and study skills up to the level required for entry to a degree programme.
