Lilford Framing is a contemporary modern art gallery in Canterbury, which catalogues work by artists such as Banksy, Antony Gormley, Damien Hurst and David Hockney. They also offer a bespoke framing service and has been operating since 2000 in Canterbury.

Opportunity details: This opportunity is a chance to assist in the gallery in preparation for their Autumn show. Preparing for the new show and organising and working the launch party will be the main focus of the placement. Duties will include receiving work from artists, emptying the galleries, hanging the show, assisting with marketing and social media, and admin work including writing & printing biographies and tickets.

Location: Canterbury, Kent.

Date(s): Work to be undertaken in October 2024. 2 weeks part time.

Post-September: Yes - if you are a postgraduate student and unable to work during the summer due to visa and/or academic constraints, you can undertake this placement September-November 2024..

Remote Working: This role cannot be undertaken remotely.

Travel costs: Unfortunately, travel assistance will not be available for this reward. (The Careers and Employability may be able to support with travel expenses, within reason, as outlined in the introduction of the Rewards Pack.)

Additional criteria: Must have a strong interest in working in the Arts. Must be within a commutable distance to Canterbury.
