Help and advice
It is important while you’re at Kent that you get a good degree in Economics but that you also get yourself ready for life after university. The School of Economics will support and advise you in thinking and deciding what to do after your degree. We provide a number of talks and workshops on deciding what to do in the future and how to be successful in applying. In addition to one-to-one advice with academic and employability support staff, there are talks from alumni, outside employers and the University's Careers and Employability Service.
Past students have gone on to work for Deloitte, the Government Economic Service, HMRC, Citibank, KPMG, PwC, Bank of America, Schroders, Goldman Sachs and Barclays.
John Peirson, Director of Employability and Katie Marshall, Placements and Employability Co-ordinator, are available throughout the year to offer one-to-one advice and help on all aspects of employability, from CV writing to the application process.
For current students, please see our Employability for Economics Students Moodle page for more information on CV writing, the application process and current graduate opportunities.
Please see our University Schemes page for more information on the help and advice offered within the University.
