The Pre and Post Natal Exercise Referral Scheme is designed to promote physical activity for women who are pregnant or recently had a baby.
Our qualified and experienced Exercise Referral Coordinator at the University of Kent Sports Centre will provide support to you during a structured 12-week exercise programme.
Our brand new service as part of our Exercise Referral Scheme aims to support pregnant women and women who have recently had a baby to include exercise and wellbeing into their daily routines. With specific support and guidance from our Exercise Referral Coordinator, you will be supported throughout the 12-week programme with individual training plans and goals.
Please note, we are not currently able to support babies and small children during the Exercise Referral sessions.
The scheme is available to all pregnant women or women who have recently had a baby. A minimum of Kent Sport Pay to Play membership is required before starting the programme. Sign up either through our online booking system or reception. *One-off course fees in addition to your existing membership.
If you think you're eligible for the Pre and Post Natal Exercise Referral Scheme, please talk to your GP, midwife, practice nurse, or health advisor for a referral. You can also be referred by specialist NHS services, local health trainers, and local public health services.
The medical professional will send us a referral form, or you can email your referral form to Liz Coult e.l.coult@kent.ac.uk.
