Dr Ramona Cernat completed her MSc in Physics at the University of Bucharest, Romania, and gained her PhD from Polytechnic University, Bucharest, in 2010.
Ramona's current research project is on visual assessment and is supported by NIHT BRC Visual Assessment and Imaging.
Her previous research projects include:
- CO2 Sink Project (FP/6 framework, EU funded)
- spectroscopic optical coherence tomography (OCT) with supercontinuum fibre source (funded by EPSRC, UK)
- development of OCT for endoscopic laryngeal cancer screening – collaboration with the Northwick Park Hospital (funded by NHS Trust, UK)
- novel method for optical coherence tomography and multiplexed sensing (Funded by EPSRC, UK).
