New construction apprenticeships

The University will report on the development of its new construction degree apprenticeships as it marks National Apprenticeship Week (5-9 March).

A conference on Friday 9 March will hear how Kent is developing apprenticeships to be closely aligned to the needs of the architecture, quantity surveying and town planning sectors.

Employers and students will hear from Dr Scott Wildman, Director of the University’s Centre for Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, on how the University has engaged with schools, employers and employer-led groups such as the Kent Construction Focus Group, Constructing Excellence and the Construction Guild to raise awareness and develop the new degree apprenticeships.

The National Apprenticeship Week conference will take place at 12 noon at the Darwin Conference Room at the University’s Canterbury campus. It is an invitation only event and anyone wishing to attend is asked to email Donna Jones at the Centre for Higher and Degree Apprenticeships for ticket availability.
