The University has been shortlisted in the 2018 CUBO (College and University Business Officers) Awards for the quality and success of its commercial services.
The University’s shortlisting – in one of 10 categories – centres on its three commercial service departments: Kent Hospitality, Gulbenkian and Kent Sport, which provide, respectively, student accommodation and catering services, arts activities and sports facilities.
Kevin Stuckey, Kent’s Director of Commercial Services, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for this important award.
‘Our facilities remain extremely popular with students, staff and visitors to the University, including the public and the many schools that make use of our offer. Our conference activities support vacation-time employment for around 250 full-time staff and a further 500 casual employees, many of whom are Kent students.’
The winners of the CUBO 2018 awards will be announced on Wednesday 27 June during the three-day annual CUBO Summer conference at Manchester Metropolitan University.
