The latest edition of 'Community', the University's newsletter for residents and businesses in North Canterbury, is now available to download.

The newsletter will also be delivered to residents and available on campus this week. Highlights of the January 2018 issue include:

  • An update on our joint bid for funding for a new medical school with Canterbury Christ Church University; and the latest on our campus building developments;
  • How our students are working in our local communities to address shared concerns around student safety and behaviour;
  • Upcoming public events and performances on campus;
  • Opportunities to get involved in the latest research project, led by the Kent Child Development Unit;
  • How we are working to support Kent businesses;
  • Key dates for the diary and useful contacts.

Community is designed to keep local residents and community representatives up-to-date with the latest news and developments from the University of Kent, including progress with our Masterplan consultation and Canterbury City Council’s work on the impact of universities.

The newsletter is published three times a year – in January, May and September – and is delivered to 10,000 properties in north Canterbury. It can also be read online in the community section of the website and is available at a number of on-campus locations for visitors to pick-up.

We welcome feedback from the community on our work and the communication that we provide. Questions, comments or suggestions can be sent to communityinfo@kent.ac.uk or to Community, Corporate Communications, Room 155, The Registry, The University of Kent, Canterbury, Kent, Ct2 7NZ.
