University issues newsletter to almost 10,000 Canterbury residents

Press Office

The newsletter, called Community, will be sent three times a year to those living closest to the University while a digital version will be published online as well.

It has been launched to help further improve engagement with residents and local groups after increasing collaboration during 2016 that arose from the Concept Masterplan consultation and the Higher and Further Education in the Canterbury District review, published January 2017.

The newsletter will cover a range of key topics, including important dates for the diary such as student moving dates, information on how to take advantage of services on campus open to the public, such as its sports facilities and shows at the Gulbenkian, and the University’s current projects and future plans.

In total 9,861 residents living closest to the University will receive the newsletter in the post, while new pages on the University’s website will also provide relevant news and information on a regular basis.

The University welcomes feedback from its neighbours and the local community on how it might further improve the newsletter and its information provision in the future.
