Bookplate from the David Lloyd George Collection.

Lloyd George Collection

The University purchased part of the private library of the former Prime Minister David Lloyd George from his son, Lord Tenby, in 1964.

The collection has been split between the library's main collection and Special Collections & Archives. Those in Special collections include volumes that were gifts from the authors to the statesman and contain a personal inscription. The First World War and its aftermath, for example on the Treaty of Versailles, or the new Balkan States are also well represented in the collection.
