Your assignments will require you to shoot and edit television news packages; record and edit radio bulletins; design and create newspaper and magazine pages; and devise interactive online features. You can't do those things without the proper equipment. And so all of our students - undergraduate or postgraduate - have daily access to any of the kit that a modern journalist is likely to need.
That means HD video cameras with tripods, professional microphones and other accessories. It means the kind of digital audio recorders used by the BBC and other broadcasters.
It also means software including Adobe InDesign (for newspapers and magazines), Final Cut Pro X (for video) and Adobe Audition (for audio).
We don't expect you to have any previous experience with any of it before you join us. But by the time you leave us you'll be using it all like a professional.
