Running for 40 years, our International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a one-year full-time course designed to prepare you for undergraduate study in the UK. It is ideal if you have excellent high school grades but have not completed a suitable qualification or achieved grades that allow you to apply for direct entry to a UK university. You might also need additional language support, which we provide if required.
For details of entry requirements to the IFP, please see IFP entry requirements.

We offer guaranteed progression to over 220 degree courses at Kent. Providing you meet the progression requirements for your chosen degree, you can begin your degree studies without needing to make a UCAS application to the University. In 2020, 91% of our students progressed onto Kent degree programmes.
We offer two start dates for the IFP. You can apply for our Spring start programme, where upon successful completion you will begin the first year of your undergraduate degree in Septemeber 2022. We also offer an Autumn start IFP, where completion will see you progress to your undergraduate degree in September 2023.
