Overview

A mobile application will be developed for a platform agreed between the student and the supervisor either in an industrial context or within the School.

Contact hours

The total workload will be 300 hours


Students will undertake the work in their own time under the regular supervision of a member of the academic staff and, where appropriate, industrial collaborators. These will address learning outcomes 1 and 2.

At the end of the project, a written report will be produced together with an oral presentation of the work undertaken.

Availability

Only available to students on programmes owned by The School of Engineering and Digital Arts

Method of assessment

Oral presentation (10%),
Application (which includes a report of not more than 8000 words) (90%)

Learning outcomes

Have acquired practical experience of the development of a mobile app from user and system specification through implementation to testing.
Have gained an understanding of the practical challenges in the development and testing of mobile apps.

  1. ECTS credits are recognised throughout the EU and allow you to transfer credit easily from one university to another.
  2. The named convenor is the convenor for the current academic session.
