What's Next?
There is a wide variety of postgraduate students studying a range of courses here at Kent. Some of you will have joined straight after undergraduate study, whilst others may have joined us after many years of employment. You may be studying for interest, for vocational reasons or you may have an ambition to use your postgraduate study to continue onto a research degree. Whatever you are studying and whatever your future career plans you should begin your career planning early and not wait until after your dissertation before taking action. Many graduate employers will advertise graduate schemes, internships and placement opportunities in the autumn term, for positions starting the following summer.
There are a number of factors to consider when making a careers decision. You may have a clear understanding of your options and next steps or you may be feeling uncertain. Start by researching your options and developing an understanding of your own attributes, skills, values and motivations.
