From day one at Kent you'll become part of our welcoming, dynamic and diverse student community. Our student accommodation options are not only great places to live, they put the community on your doorstep. There's always something going on and someone to talk to.
We don't need to tell you that your university experience will be one of the most exciting times of your life. It'll be full of firsts and new experiences, and we're here to ensure you can make the most of your time on campus and enjoy every minute you spend living in our accommodation.
Joining Kent in January? Get your accommodation sorted by 8 December 2025 to guarantee your room. Coming in September? You’re guaranteed a room if you apply by 30 June 2026.
If having your own space is important to you, en-suite is a great option. You'll share a kitchen or kitchenette with your flatmates where you can socialise and make friends, but have your own en-suite with a shower. So you don't have to worry about your skincare routine taking too long!
The classic university experience. You'll have your own bedroom, but share a bathroom and kitchen with your flatmates. This is often one of the cheapest options, while sharing spaces means you meet people and make bonds from day one. You save money on accommodation which you can use to get out and enjoy university life.
This option includes £14 per day (2025/26), seven days a week to spend on food. You'll be able to eat at any of our campus restaurants. This is great if you don't want to have to worry about cooking (or don't trust your own cooking), while also helping you to budget and minimise the impact of any cost of living rises.
All utility bills, Wi-Fi, and a Kent Sport Premium membership are included, meaning there are no extra bills to pay. No deposit is needed.
You can walk everywhere on our campuses from whichever room you choose – super easy for those 9am lectures...
All students living in campus accommodation receive free sport and fitness membership for their first year at either Canterbury or Medway.
We offer two lifestyle accommodation options designed to meet specific community needs:
- LGBTQ+ accommodation
- Moderate Living accommodation
Here to help you settle into your new home on campus, find your feet and make friends. There'll be lots of opportunities to get involved, meet others, and have fun throughout the year.
