Judith Large is a visiting Specialist Associate Lecturer for Spring Term 2011.  She is Honourary Research Fellow at the Richardson Institute (Lancaster University), Special Advisor to Berghof Peace Support, Berlin (BPS) Germany, and serves on the Advisory and Editorial Board of the Journal of Peacebuilding and Development. Judith brings over twenty years experience working in conflict research, analysis, and policy to her lecturing.

Her previous posts have included Director of Programme for Conflict Resolution for the Crisis Management Initiative (CMI) and three years as Senior Advisor for Conflict Management at International IDEA (2003-2006), an inter-governmental organization based in Sweden with regional offices in Latin America, southern Africa, South and Southeast Asia.  Previously Judith worked for over a decade as an an independent consultant  and practitioner working on the negotiation and implementation of peace processes particularly in Aceh, Nepal and Sudan.
