(An overview of OCT is available)
The AOG has been at the forefront of OCT system development for many years. The group has:
-Pioneered the use en-face OCT technology
-Developed the first dual channel confocal/OCT instrument for the eye
-Developed a multi-interferometer configuration to collect simultaneously images from different depths and produced a 3D OCT visualisation in real time.
For more details of our past OCT research, please see our pages on:

A fuller list of our achievements is also available.
Our current projects in OCT include:
-Combining Adaptive Optics, OCT & SLO
-Full Field & Spectral OCT
-OCT imaging of the choroid
-OCT for embryology
-OCT for Art Conservation
-Novel Sources for OCT
-Eye Tracking for 3D OCT
-Spectroscopic OCT with supercontinuum fibre source
