Robert Green OBE has been named a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences for his outstanding contribution to the profession.

The Fellowship is the most distinguished category of professional membership of the Society and is reserved for those individuals whose qualifications and/or experience are considered to be exceptional.

Robert Green was made OBE in 2008 for services to forensic science. His appointment at Kent follows a career spanning over 30 years in roles including Senior Crime Scene Manager with Kent Police, and Head of the Forensic Science and Technology Section within the Home Office’s Police and Crime Standards Unit.

Robert Green OBESince arriving at Kent as Director of Undergraduate Studies for Forensic Sciences, Robert has secured membership of the Society for all undergraduate students studying forensic science at no additional cost to them. Kent is the largest institution, and one of only two universities, to offer this to all its forensics students.

The membership also provides Kent students with essential experience of engaging with their professional body as well as giving them the opportunity to collect Career and Professional Development (CPD) credits.

The Department of Forensic Science is part of the School of Physical Sciences.
