The School of Physical Sciences is located in the Ingram Building on the main Canterbury campus, which is situated close to London and Europe and not only offers you the chance to study in a great setting, but also offers first class teaching, access to fantastic facilities and excellent employment prospects. Students joining us from September 2011 are benefitting from brand new state-of-the-art laboratories in our new £2.5million teaching wing.
The School of Physical Sciences was placed third for job prospects in The Times Good University Guide 2009 and our students are highly satisfied with the quality of our courses - Forensic Science came first in the UK for student satisfaction in the 2009 National Student Survey, meanwhile Physics and Astronomy came first in the UK for overall satisfaction in the Times Good University Guide 2012. All of our courses are underpinned by a strong, active and cutting-edge research environment which achieved excellent results in the latest Research Assessment Exercise - the Schools Functional Materials Group came second nationally in their discipline.
