Kent Psychology students have completed over 80 hours of voluntary work each with Canterbury Nightline during the 2019/2020 academic year.

Canterbury Nightline, a student-run listening and support service, aims to support students from both Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University with any stress, anxiety and mental health concerns.

Trained student volunteers from Kent’s School of Psychology have been highly commended for the time they have invested in supporting others through the anonymous and confidential service.

The following individuals have been recognised for going above and beyond:

  • Ainaz Ghader – 108 hours
  • Dedia Collier – 84 hours
  • Eszter Zsisku – 84 hours
  • Rachel Noon – 144 hours
  • Rose Lombardo – 120 hours
  • Sa’Diya Sharafuddeen – 120 hours
  • Suyosha Pun – 144 hours

Rebecca Harding, Co-ordinator of Canterbury Nightline, said: ‘I am delighted with the dedication of these students. They have given so much of their spare time to support fellow students throughout this academic year. I’d like to thank all Kent students who have volunteered with Canterbury Nightline this year – we couldn’t do it without them and they make a huge difference.’
