Internal communications at Kent

The role of internal communications is to ensure all staff across the University are informed about strategic developments, change and success, as well as being kept in touch with good and bad news. In addition, it also serves to encourage management and staff to consider access to information, namely ways of sharing information and streamlining its collection and use.

The University ensures information reaches staff in a variety of ways, from KENT magazine and the all-staff emails to committee minutes, but there is also a need to ensure that there are clear channels for two-way communications - for example, through departmental meetings.

The University actively invites feedback on its internal communications activities and examples of good practice. These should be submitted via the Media Office.
