Led by the Stand-Up Society and the Accessibility Students Network, Kent Union is pleased to announce a one-of-a-kind event that promises a night of laughter, connection, and solidarity amongst neurodivergent* students and their allies.

Hosted by local comedian Adam Dorr, this event boasts the following:

  • A variety of spoken word poetry, comedy, music acts and more
  • Intermissions - grab snacks and drinks from the bar!
  • Free low income and performer tickets
  • 5-10 minute performance slots - all up for grabs!
  • A safe, fully accessible space for neurodivergent students and allies who may have experienced barriers in trying out spoken poetry or comedy events previously.

Each ticket sold raises money for Kent Autistic Trust, this charity has been chosen in celebration of Autism Acceptance Week 2024.

*The term “neurodivergent” describes people whose brain differences affect how their brain works. That means they may have different strengths and challenges from people whose brains don't have those differences. Some of the possible differences include mental health disorders, learning disabilities, and other conditions such as ASD or ADHD.
