Welcome to our Postgraduate Online Open Event and the School of Psychology.

The School of Psychology is a vibrant and diverse community, internationally recognised for its research and committed to inspiring teaching. Our academics are world-leading experts whose passion for their areas of research encourages you to develop your own ideas and take your studies further.

Study psychology at postgraduate level and you become part of a diverse, dynamic and supportive community in which to research and learn. We offer a range of taught Master’s programmes, from forensic psychology to political psychology, so you can follow your particular interests.

We conduct both theoretical and applied research in several areas, and are highly regarded as a leading European centre for postgraduate research.  Furthermore, you can gain a level 7 apprenticeship and a Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP) Master's with Kent. 

Research excellence

The School of Psychology has built a strong international research reputation in the areas of cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, forensic psychology and social psychology. This is complemented by strengths in organisational psychology and political psychology.

We have two research centres:

  • the Centre for the Study of Group Processes
  • the Centre of Research and Education in Forensic Psychology.
