Personal development training

The Tonbridge Centre focuses on in-house training through courses carefully created to support professionals in developing their skills and enhancing their careers. They are taught by highly qualified academics and trainers who are experts in their field.

We can deliver courses at your premises or host your delegates at Kent’s UK locations at our Tonbridge Centre, Medway or Canterbury.

 

Business Skills

Communicate with Confidence: one-day workshop, 10am-5pm (6 hrs teaching), £1,200
Learn how to communicate clearly in challenging situations. The workshop includes group work and self-reflection activities, and uses various techniques to enable constructive conversation.

Train the Trainer: two-day workshop, 10am-5pm (12 hrs teaching), £2,400
Gain the skills to plan and facilitate an engaging training course using different methods. Design a training plan with appropriate resources, learn how to assess learning and offer feedback to delegates.

Presentation Skills: one-day workshop, 10am-5pm (6 hrs teaching), £1,200
Improve your ability to plan, design and deliver presentations in a confident and engaging manner. Learn how to set objectives, project your voice, identify your delivery style and explore how your audience listens.

Fees include delivery at an organisation's premises for up to 12 participants.

A practical and lively workshop for any business that wants their website to work harder for them. Look at how websites grab and keep people’s attention through content, language and tone, and gain the tools to transform your site.

Writing for Wellbeing: one-day workshop, 10am-5pm (6 hrs teaching), £600
Based on Journal to the Self©, created by Kathleen Adams, this course teaches you how to support your personal growth, life management and creativity through writing.

Fees include delivery at an organisation's premises for up to 10 participants.

Help to grow your business

Student projects: Kent students can share their enthusiasm and creative thinking with your business. They can work individually or in groups, short-term or over a year, and many complete a final year project for in-depth work opportunities.

Recruitment support: Our Careers and Employability Centre offers a range of services for employers including free graduate vacancy advertising and careers fairs at Canterbury and Medway.
