Introducing the VC's Cup
The Vice-Chancellor's Cup (VC's Cup) is an inter-departmental activities tournament for all University of Kent staff.
- Activities for Everyone: From rounders to quizzes, enjoy a diverse range of fun activities for all interests and sporting experience.
- Free to take part: No cost for attendance or team entry.
- Fit it around your day: Join lunchtime events on Tuesdays and Thursdays as often or little as you like.
- Support your wellbeing: stay active through fun and social events.
- Meet colleagues: connect and socialise with staff from across the University.
Getting Involved
The 2025–26 tournament has now concluded, and we look forward to the 2026–27 VC’s Cup starting in November!
All staff across the University are welcome to enter a team. The focus is on having fun, meeting colleagues and enjoying friendly competition. No experience is needed!
Interested in taking part? Email sportsdevelopment@kent.ac.uk to enter a team or join an existing one.
It’s never too late to get involved! Teams can enter at any point throughout the year.

FAQ's
The VC's Cup tournament is open to any current University of Kent staff members.
It's completely FREE! Register for your free Kent Sport membership at our reception or through your Kent Sport account.
You can book online through your Kent Sport account. After logging in, use the filter to select ''vC Cup'' to see available sessions, or book in person at the Sports Centre or The Pavilion receptions.
Appropriate sportswear and footwear is advised, along with a water bottle. All sport-specific equipment is provided.
Our sessions typically run at lunchtimes, but we also host a few evening events for you to enjoy. Where we host these sessions depends on the activity. Keep up to date with our activities through our ''Events Schedule'' section on the VC's Cup page.
Yes you can. You can drop into any one of our sessions, and if you enjoy, we can find you a team that suits you.
You can cancel your booking through your Kent Sport account, or cancel in person at the front desk.
You can email sportsdevelopment@kent.ac.uk or message via the Kent Sport Instagram account.
