Adobe Digital Editions

Open e-books downloaded from the library which have Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions implemented with Adobe Content Server Message (ACSM)

Functionality

Adobe Digital Editions allows you to access and download e-books which might be otherwise restricted by Digital Rights Management. Through Adobe Digital Editions, library users will be able to access e-books with their personal Adobe ID.

Tips for using this tool at Kent

Adobe Digital Editions is not available on the staff and student PCs at the University. By creating an Adobe ID, an e-book loan is issued to this ID rather than being locked to the machine it was downloaded to. This allows you to access the downloaded e-book on all devices that have Adobe Digital Editions (up to 6 devices).
