Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC)

The Impact Acceleration Account (IAA), awarded by the AHRC, provides an opportunity for researchers at the University of Kent to positively impact the world around us through driving economic, environmental, cultural and social change – across our region, nationally and beyond.  The responsive and flexible package of funding will support the delivery of an ambitious and targeted programme, enabling a step-change in impact and knowledge exchange across our research portfolio.

Our Priority Themes:

We are focusing our activities around three priority themes listed below:

Health and Wellbeing

This theme is innately interdisciplinary and impact will be achieved through : co-design with people who have lived experience; arts interventions; and by working with partners to strengthen engagement with users.

Histories and Heritage

Impact will be largely achieved through working with partners and policymakers in education, Independent Research Organisations and government.

Society and Environment

Impact will be driven by knowledge transfer and design partnerships, and by working directly with communities that are vulnerable, socially excluded or in areas of social deprivation.
