The University has showcased some of its world-leading research at a national event in London.

Taking place at the Natural History Museum on 11 June, the event was part of Universities Week 2014 (9-14 June), which this year focused on how universities engage with the public to demonstrate the way research can improve people’s lives.

Kent was one of only 47 universities selected to take part and was represented by Dr John Dickinson and Dr James Hopker of its School of Sport and Exercise Sciences (SSES). The demonstration explained how SSES research improves the performance of elite athletes, including professional cyclists. It was part of a wider exhibition titled Champion Science, alongside sports scientists from Liverpool John Moores University.
