Chatham meeting on Kent, slavery and abolitionism

A discussion co-organised by the University on the history of slavery and abolitionism in Kent will take place on Wednesday 21 November.

The event forms part of a series being run by the University in collaboration with the Medway African Caribbean Association.

Among the speakers will be Professor David Turley and Dr Ben Marsh, of the University’s School of History, as well as Professor David Killingray, of Goldsmiths, University of London.

The event, which is free and open to all, take place from 19.00-20.30 at No.1 Smithery, The Historic Dockyard Chatham.
