A leading professor from New York University will deliver a public lecture at the University on 21 March.
The talk, by Vivek Chibber, Professor of Sociology at New York University and author of Postcolonial Theory and the Spectre of Capital (2013), is the first in a new series organised by the Postcolonial Centre in the School of English.
The lecture is titled ‘Imperialism, Orientalism and Social Emancipation’ and will take place in the Grimond Lecture Theatre 3 starting at 17.00, followed by a drinks reception.
There is free parking on the Canterbury campus from 17.00 and no booking is required.
