The Animal Science (top-up) is designed to be a progression route for students who have successfully completed the HND in Applied Animal Science or equivalent award.
On this programme you have access to well-equipped laboratories and an animal centre. You will have as much practical involvement with animals as possible and a number of trips and activities are organised each year.

You will need at least a Merit grade at HND in Applied Animal Science or other relevant discipline or a foundation degree with a value of 240 credits.

Assessment is by coursework projects, essays, presentations and examinations.
Delivery is through lectures, seminars and tutorials, normally over three days a week:

For a student studying full time, each academic year of the programme will comprise 1200 learning hours which include both direct contact hours and private study hours. The precise breakdown of hours will be subject dependent and will vary according to modules.
