- Dr Linus Peitz
Dr Linus Peitz is a social psychologist and postdoctoral research associate on the project 'Righting Recidivism' led by Dr Martha Newson (Future Leaders Fellow, University of Kent), investigating the cognitive underpinnings of re-offending behaviour.
He received his PhD from the School of Psychology at UKC in 2021 and has previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Philipps University Marburg in Germany.
Dr Linus Peitz is interested in psychological explanations for social and political attitudes and behaviours, particularly in predictors of social cohesion. As part of his PhD thesis, he investigated how political ideologies relate to EU attitudes, and how feelings of national identification in the UK evolved during Brexit. For another project, he helped to investigate the link between identities and solidarity in Europe.
