Engaging courses for part-time study
Studying part-time at Kent you can be sure that whether you attend a study day or wish to gain a qualification, you will find quality teaching, a friendly atmosphere and lots of support.
There are many different options available if you wish to study part-time, from courses purely for pleasure and interest to a complete undergraduate degree.

These one-day courses are held on various days at the Tonbridge Centre, including Saturdays. They allow you to spend time exploring a subject purely for the pleasure of learning, in the company of other people who share your interests and are similarly motivated.

Short courses - autumn, spring and summer programmes
If you want to extend your knowledge of a particular subject, or are simply curious to know more, a lecture or short course is a good choice for you. Short courses are of variable lengths and allow you to spend time over a few days or weeks exploring a subject among like-minded people, without formal assessment. They are also an ideal starting point before making the decision to study for a credit-bearing certificate or degree.

Language courses at the Tonbridge Centre?
We would like to introduce short courses in foreign languages at the Tonbridge Centre. As well as the more usual European languages we are also considering offering a course in Japanese, Mandarin, Vietnamese or Arabic. The courses would also include a cultural background of the country.

Undergraduate courses - leading to a full BA (Hons) degree
The University offers a number of courses leading to Certificate, Diploma and Degree qualifications specifically designed to fit around your commitments. Seminars are generally of 2 hours duration at the same time each week in the daytime or evening, Monday to Friday.

Postgraduate courses
The Tonbridge Centre is planning to introduce postgraduate qualifications in various areas including Literature, Management and Finance. If you would like to be kept informed about future postgraduate programmes at the Tonbridge Centre or inform us of a subject you would like to be offered at the Centre please contact us.
There are over 200 areas of study based at Canterbury, Medway, Brussels and Paris which give you the opportunity to find a part-time programme to suit both your current lifestyle and future ambitions.
