Ghost sculpture by Sculpture in the City

School of Music and Fine Art lecturer Adam Chodzko’s kayak sculpture has been selected for a prestigious public art exhibition in London.

Adam’s sculpture, entitled ‘Ghost’, will feature in the ‘Sculpture in the City’ exhibition, from 9 July to May 2016.

The exhibition features 15 art pieces in and around the Square Mile. It is an annual opportunity for the public to engage with established and emerging contemporary artists,  including Damien Hirst, Sigalit Landau and Bruce Beasley.

Adam’s ‘Ghost’ sculpture, on display at Leadenhall Market, is a kayak in which the passenger lies flat. The passenger can experience a state between sleeping and waking,  or living and dying, while gliding across the water and looking up at the sky.
