Kent Business School students rise to the leadership challenge

Kent Business School (KBS) students have been honing their leadership skills on one of the UK’s leading personal development programmes.

Twenty undergraduate KBS students at the University’s Medway campus took part in the one-day leadership development programme.

It was run in conjunction with Paul Dyer, an alumnus of the University. With an emphasis on personal development, the Paul Dyer Development programme has been designed to encourage students to achieve their leadership potential, bolster their confidence, and enhance their management capabilities to allow them to develop essential employability skills for their careers following graduation.

The focus of this one-day programme was on learning by doing through a range of fun in-class and outdoor activities, encouraging reflective self-assessment, building network relationships and enhancing collaborative working. The programme proved an eye-opening experience for many students and was described by some as a ‘life-changer’.

KBS is now planning for the Paul Dyer Challenge in November. Described as a ‘boot camp-style’ leadership development programme, it is designed to help students fulfil their full potential beyond graduation.
