Ecologist and DICE alumna to give guest online lecture (26 Nov)

Dr Kirsty Swinnerton, an alumna from the School of Anthropology and Conservation (SAC)’s Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) will give a guest talk about the conservation of threatened island species on Thursday 26 November 2020 (18.00-19.00).

The free DICE talk titled ‘Preventing Extinctions – island restoration from tundra to tropics’ will be broadcast live on Facebook and is open to all.

Dr Swinnerton, who now works as a Wilding Ecologist at Kent Wildlife Trust, will discuss the worldwide habitat restoration work she carried out in her early career to support endangered island species in locations including Madagascar, Mauritius and Gough Island in the South Atlantic Ocean.
