Finding Friends and Coping with Loneliness at University

This workshop aims to offer tips on how to find friends and cope with feelings of loneliness at university.

In this online workshop the aim is to help students transition to university life. Tips will be given on how to increase friendships and enjoy making new friends. Loneliness will be looked at; how we might experience Loneliness will be discussed and we explore if it is OK to be lonely? 

This workshop aims to offer tips on how to find friends and cope with feelings of loneliness at university, this is especially important due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the introduction of social distancing. There will be a PowerPoint presentation and an individual exercise for you to complete on your own.  

The link to our Zoom meeting will be sent to you on the morning of the workshop.  The session will be for 90 minutes. The meeting is facilitated from a private, confidential space, hosted by a staff member of Student Support and Wellbeing.  Please find a similarly private, comfortable space to join from where you can speak.
