Welcome to Kent Law School!

Welcome to Kent Law School at the University of Kent. We're delighted that you've chosen to join us and look forward to welcoming you this September. As one of the UK's leading law schools, we're known for our critical approach to the study of law, encouraging you to explore not only how legal systems work, but also how they shape society and the lives of individuals. 

You'll learn from expert academics in a supportive and inclusive community, developing the analytical, research and communication skills that will prepare you for a wide range of careers.

Help with your Welcome Week timetable

How do I view my Welcome Week timetable?

At the top of this page, choose your level of study - Foundation year, Undergraduate, Master's/Postgraduate Taught or Postgraduate Research. Then select your course. 

There are two timetable links to choose from: one shows all Welcome events, including your compulsory School events, and the other shows only your compulsory School events.

You can also change this view directly on the calendar by selecting or deselecting the Compulsory category.  

Which Welcome Week events do I need to attend?

You should attend your compulsory School events, as these will help you prepare for the start of your studies. We also recommend attending any general Welcome events that interest you, as they're a great opportunity to meet other students and settle into life at Kent.

In particular, the Students' Union Welcome Fairs are a great way to learn about societies, groups and sports teams.

Joint honours students

If you are joining us on a Joint Honours course, we recommend prioritising Welcome activities for the first subject listed in your degree title. If your timetable has gaps, you can then explore and attend Welcome events for your second subject. This will help you make the most of your Welcome Week while getting to know both of your subject areas.

How do I view my teaching timetable?

Your teaching timetable starts from Week 1 (5 October) onwards and is available on KentVision, the My Kent website and via the My Kent Student App.
