Parking on Campus

 

Staff permit renewal reminder: If you have received an email about renewing your permit, log into permit system, select "My Permits" and then select the small green arrow button to renew your permit. You do not need to apply for a new permit.

Parking at the University is limited and is operated by a permit system. Any person who brings a vehicle on to the University private land and car parks agrees to abide by the Regulations for the Management of Traffic at the University of Kent for Staff, Students and Other Persons. You must have a registered virtual parking permit or display a parking permit in the windscreen of your vehicle (Mon to Fri, 8am-5pm), and all vehicles must be parked in a marked bay, in accordance with the permit issued.

Parking enforcement is in operation 24hrs. Before applying for a permit to park or parking on University land please ensure you are familiar with the infringements which a Parking Charge Notice may be issued or receive a sanction for non-compliance as per the University Regulations.

Any person employed by the University of Kent or Kent Union, including Emeritus and Honorarys. Retired staff see Other Persons.

What permits are available to me as an Emeritus or Honorary?

12 month, 3 months, monthly and daily voucher permits are all available to Emeritus and Honorarys.

There is a separate permit type for Emeritus and Honorarys for 12 month and 3 month permits as these must be paid for up front, whereas for staff these must be paid for via salary deductions.

For monthly and daily voucher permits please select "staff monthly" or "staff daily voucher".

How do I add a vehicle to my permit? How do I change my main registered vehicle?

Log in to the permit system and select “My permits”. Click on the green vehicle icon and select “add vehicle” or “switch vehicle”.

“Switch vehicle” means that this vehicle will be the registered to park on campus in accordance with your parking permit.

Health Access Permit

This permit is for those who require use of accessible bays but who do not hold a Government Blue Badge.

Salary deductions in accordance with pink and blue zone permit prices, dependent on the length of time the permit is valid for.
