Advanced and Specialist Healthcare (Advanced Dental Clinical Practice) - MSc

Having an MSc as well as the restorative diploma sets you apart from your peers.

What attracted you to the MSc programme?

Having completed the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) Restorative Diploma, there was an opportunity to pursue a year of study at the University of Kent in order to convert this into an MSc.

After investing the time and money into the restorative diploma, one further year of study to gain a whole MSc seemed appealing. With the increase in graduates undertaking postgraduate study, having an MSc as well as the restorative diploma sets you apart from your peers.

Did you feel well supported in your studies?

The course is very well supported, you are pointed in the right direction of all relevant reading materials. You have access to any online journals that are required through the University's online library system.

How has the MSc benefited your professional working practice so far?

The course has helped with my practice as I have learnt a lot more around my chosen research area which informs my clinical practice. It is also beneficial being able to discuss my area of Master's level study when talking to patients who I think find this reassuring.

If you’re coming up to finishing the restorative diploma, I would definitely recommend completing the year of study at the University of Kent to complete the Master's programme.
