Litha Summer Solstice

This ia a Pagan / Wiccan celebration

Solstice, or Litha means a stopping or standing still of the sun.

Midsummer is one of the four solar holidays, and is considered the turning point at which summer reaches its height and the sun shines longest. Among the Wiccan sabbats, Midsummer is preceded by Beltane, and followed by Lammas or Lughnasadh. At the Summer Solstice Pagans honour the incredible strength of the sun and the divine powers that create life.
