Iain Sinclair
The Last London

Kent Interdisciplinary Centre for Spatial Studies and the School of Anthropology and Conservation are delighted to welcome Iain Sinclair to speak this March. A prominent writer, Sinclair is the author of a series of novels and non-fiction books chronicling London's changing face. His works include Downriver, winner of the 1992 James Tait Black Memorial Prize, and London Orbital (2002), his account of his circumnavigation of the M25. He's also a filmmaker: his films include Swandown (2012), which charted his journey from Hastings beach to Hackney on a swan pedalo. Sinclair describes his new book The Last London as "my final tilt at our stretched city. The end of a long sequence.
