This year CLHO is jointly hosting with CILT two CILT meetings for the South East and Kent areas.
Speaker: Maggie Heraty, freelance humanitarian logistician
Presentation on Logistics as the backbone of humanitarian operations – the effectiveness of emergency response is directly proportional to the preparedness of humanitarian logistics teams. 'Last mile' aid deliveries must be flexible as it's difficult to predict when or where disasters will strike. Business people are among the first to respond; they act directly in humanitarian contexts or indirectly through supply chains. They can work independently, directly with people in crisis or by collaborating with humanitarian organisations. What does the future hold?
Refreshments will be provided for those who have registered.
All KBS academic staff are invited to attend – please confirm your attendance latest by Friday 2 February 2018 by sending an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition, CLHO and CILT have made ten (10) spaces available for PG students at the meeting. If you would like to attend this event, please do send an email with your full name and study course title to email@example.com, latest by Friday 2 February 2018, so that we can add you to the guest list. The tickets will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis, so be quick!Visit the event web page
