Effective Management Skills - Medway Campus

Designed for: Members of staff who want to develop practical management skills or look to refresh their thinking about practical management activities.

This workshop is aimed at new managers/supervisors or those with little experience or formal training in this area but may also be used as a refresher for more experienced staff looking for practical insights and therefore cohorts will consist of mixed ability participants.

The workshop focusses on team communications, preparing for and holding effective conversations with your team and giving effective feedback. The workshop provides a very practical approach, utilising lots of interaction, discussion and scenario based activities (both individual and in small groups). It also provides an opportunity to interact with other managers/supervisors from across the University, share common experience and knowledge and increase internal networks, whilst developing an understanding of balanced approaches which might be engaged in various situations.
