Sadie Jones
Sadie gained a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy from London Metropolitan University and has worked for Wimbledon ladies F.C. and Arsenal Ladies F.C as a pitch side therapist. Sadie also spent nine years working as the Lead Sports Therapist for Maidstone Rugby Club. During her time here, she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Rehabilitation at St Mary's University. Sadie then completed her MPhil in 2022 in Sport and Exercise Science and Sports Therapy - Sports practitioners, athlete welfare and duties of care: A case study of the professional practice of hamstring management in English professional rugby union.
Sadie joined the University of Kent in August 2005, she lectures on the Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation programme. She likes to focus on the later stages of rehabilitation and return to sport following injury linking these to strength and conditioning and exercise physiology.
Sadie is interested in the management of hamstring injuries, match fatigue in youth sport, strength and how it impacts performance. Sadie likes research in netball, athletics, rugby and football.
