Overview

How does your body work and move during everyday life, and during sport and exercise? Do you want to know how your body's key physiological systems work, and how your body responds and adapts to exercise? Do you want to learn how to plan and deliver effective exercise sessions? You will learn and discuss exercise physiology, human movement and training principles. This will underpin a practical approach to movement analysis, common exercises and movement patterns, in which you will develop your practical skills and build confidence in your delivery of effective exercises and your ability to design, plan and deliver impactful exercise sessions. Your understanding of physiology, movement and exercises combined with this practical approach will provide foundations of knowledge and experience to underpin the remainder of your degree and the principles of rehabilitation.
