An understanding of human anatomy and movement is key to injury rehabilitation. Split into the key regions of lower limb, upper limb, spine and thorax, you will learn to identify the associated bones, joints, soft tissue structures, muscles and nerves of each of these regions and, through the practice of palpation, be able to identify key anatomical landmarks in the body. Throughout the module, emphasis will be placed on functional anatomy through sporting movement and injury. Upon completion of the module, you will be able to apply your knowledge of human anatomy to your role as a sports therapy and rehabilitation practitioner.

On successfully completing the module, students will be able to:
1. Describe, classify and identify the major bones, joints, soft tissues structures, muscles and nerves of the lower limb.
2. Describe, classify and identify the major bones, joints, soft tissues structures, muscles and nerves of the upper limb.
3. Describe, classify and identify the major bones, joints, soft tissues structures, muscles and nerves of the spine and thorax.
4. Define and describe the basic movements of the human body and identify the different planes of movement
