Frank Walker
Frank began his career at the University in 2010 and is an engineer and technician who specialises in recording, mixing and mastering. Frank has previous experience teaching Professional Mixing and Mastering at the SAE Institute London, recording and producing several albums and EPs for the University of Kent’s record label, as well as working freelance on mixing and mastering projects, location recording and sound mixing for independent films and commercial projects.
Frank is a Pro Tools Certified Operator and Instructor for the Centre with a deep understanding for the software, having facilitated many students successfully through the training programmes.
His main responsibilities are managing the training courses and studio enterprise, supporting staff and students with technical issues, and maintaining the Centre’s equipment and facilities.
Having had previous success with his last venture, the band Real Life Charm (reallifecharm.com), accruing multiple BBC Radio 1 plays, Frank continues to work on his new project Sheye (sheye.co.uk) as a pianist, guitarist and producer.
