Professor Samer Bagaeen re-elected onto the RTPI's General Assembly

MA Urban Planning and Resilience Programme Director, Professor Samer Bagaeen, has been re-elected onto the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) General Assembly for 2021-22. The RTPI ‘champions the power of planning in creating prosperous places and vibrant communities’. The General Assembly provides a forum for debate about the development of planning policy and practice. Nominations for this year’s RTPI Elections opened in June and voting took place between 21 August and 23 September.

As a Chartered Member of the General Assembly, Professor Samer Bagaeen will have the opportunity to debate matters of importance to the Institute; the General Assembly is the debating chamber of the Institute, which meets three times a year. The General Assembly determines the RTPI’s stance on public policy and planning practice, as well as helping to shape the future of the RTPI by participating in the delivery of their new corporate strategy 2020-30.
